Governor Christie has signed the “New Jersey Security and Financial Employment Act” or “NJ SAFE Act” providing job protected leave to victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. The law allows for 20 days of protected leave for an employee who was a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault or whose family member was the victim, within one year of the incident.
Employers with 25 or more employees are covered by this law. EANJ will be hosting a one-hour webinar to discuss the new law – click here for details and to register.
