NJ Minimum Wage Increases for 2019

New Jersey’s minimum wage will increase to $8.85 per hour beginning January 1, 2019.  The rate is tied to the consumer price index for all urban wage earners.  This is a $0.25 cent increase per hour over the current wage of $8.60.

NJ Benefit Rates Increases

The NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development has published their proposed maximum benefit rates for Unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, Temporary Disability and Family Leave Insurance.  While these rates are only proposed at this time, it is expected with they will take effect in January.

Wage Base: $34,400
Base Week: $172

Temporary Disability and Family Leave Insurance -
Maximum Benefit Rate: $650
Wage Base: $34,400
Base Week: $172

Workers’ Compensation -
Maximum Benefit Rate: $921
