Livingston, NJ – The Employers Association of New Jersey (EANJ) is pleased to announce the launch of a statewide employer survey designed to assess awareness, administration, and compliance with New Jersey’s Earned Sick Leave Law. This survey is part of the Cultivating Access, Rights, and Equity (CARE) Grant Program funded by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL).

The survey seeks input from employers across New Jersey to:

  • Gauge overall employer awareness of the Earned Sick Leave Law.
  • Identify challenges employers face in achieving compliance.
  • Gather valuable insights to support employers in navigating this crucial workplace requirement.

“EANJ’s mission is to help employers make sound and responsible employment decisions,” says Amy Vazquez, Vice President of EANJ. “This survey is an opportunity to gather meaningful feedback directly from employers, ensuring we can better address their needs and support compliance with employment-related laws.”

Survey responses will be collected anonymously, and results will be provided in aggregate form only. The survey will be conducted electronically and through phone interviews to maximize accessibility and participation. Feedback collected will help inform EANJ’s ongoing outreach and education efforts, as well as its collaboration with the NJDOL to support equitable workplace practices.

“Supporting employers through outreach and education is the foundation of our work,” says Christine Myers, President of EANJ. “This survey is a key component of the CARE Grant, and we encourage all employers, regardless of size or industry, to participate. By doing so, they contribute to a broader understanding of how this law impacts the New Jersey business community.”

The CARE Grant Program, which EANJ has proudly participated in for the past two years, aims to increase awareness of and access to key workplace rights, including earned sick leave, paid family and medical leave benefits, and other critical labor standards.
